Anxiety can feel like your mind and body are on fire.

Maybe You:

  • often ruminate and overthink

  • feel that your mind creates stories that are not “real”, but feel real

  • have a hard time taking care of your own needs or saying “no”

  • hardly ever experience a quiet mind

  • have trouble with breathing exercises or meditation

  • experience shaking, sweating, pit in stomach, lump in throat or chest tightness

Anxiety is…

the body’s reaction to a real or perceived threat; including a distressing emotion, memory, futuristic event or fear of abandonment and rejection.

Anxiety limits how you engage with life.

You find it hard to say what you really feel. You have a challenge feeling safe and calm in your body. You’re often thinking the worst and getting upset when you can’t change how and what you’re thinking. Maybe you deal with a lot of tension in your body. You just want to feel at peace.

You don’t have to lose the battle with anxiety.

You can learn to trust yourself. You can respond differently to anxiety and panic. There is a world where you will feel safe in your body and appreciate the quiet without the excess noise in your head. You can enjoy hopefulness and contentment.

Quick things to try when overwhelmed with anxiety:

  • Put on your favorite song and dance. Move your body in big motions and moves that may not even look like dancing. Follow wherever your body wants to go.

  • Take a walk, pick a color and notice & name everything in that color.

  • Give yourself a hug by crossing your arms, and providing pressure by squeezing.

As your therapist, I’ll listen to you.

You won’t be told to just “think happier thoughts”. Instead a warm and patient space exists for you to release tightness and tension, refocus your mind and regain grounding.

Anxiety therapy can help you:

  • Reduce anxiety and anxiety-led behavior

  • Process emotions and states that are connected to the anxiety, such as grief, panic and fear of abandonment & rejection

  • Improve self-trust and relational communication

  • Disconnect from harmful and ruminating thoughts

  • Realistically practice mindful-ness

We can put out the fire together.
