Let’s reclaim the life that painful experiences have worked hard to rip from you.
Meet Keisha Barnes, experiential therapist in Boston and across MA and NC for trauma and attachment & relationships.
Your past experiences are disrupting too much of your life. So far, it’s cost you your time, peace and relationships. You’ve had visions of a more present, calm and connected you, but you feel confused on how to embody that vision.
In the Virtual Therapy Room
Together, we will slow down and give you a level of attention that you haven't had before. We can quite literally feel our experiences in our bodies – despair, joy, anxiety, abandonment. We will connect with your emotions, body, and deeper inner wisdom to create meaningful, lasting shifts. We can do this even if you don’t have the words or the memory to express what’s happening with you.
This isn’t traditional talk therapy. This is Experiential Therapy.
Therapy with me is an emotional, in the moment experience. Whether through somatic awareness, movement, parts work, role-playing or expressive techniques, experiential therapy will allow us to have deep emotional breakthroughs that feel natural and intuitive. Your safety, comfort and consent will always be prioritized in our space together. I always look to be right with you, so that you always feel tended to and accompanied. You’ll be honored, respected and seen.
Adult Humans of all colors, ages, sizes, genders, sexualities, nationalities, religions and kinship origins are welcome and safe here.
At your pace, At your time.
My letter to you:
I believe you deserve to be well cared for, paid attention to and deeply understood. I know that you’ve had a hard time feeling felt and are seeking to be held without explanation. Yet everyone feels so far away from you; so out of reach. There are things that have happened to you that have made you feel sadness, shame and loneliness. So much so that you’ve thought your body would explode from all the feelings. You may not even fully understand this painful experience, but you know your experience of life feels like you’re being punished. You’ve already had some of your hardest days.
You’re still here and I can be with you now.

Clients describe me as friendly, thorough, knowledgeable and effective.
I’ve heard this statement more than once: “I’ve been in therapy before, but this feels different”. Clients see deep emotional and measurable progress when they’re able to go beyond just talking about their issues and instead have a full experience in therapy.
Together, we can see the places that have felt unseen.
